About The Book

This 21-page photo book delves into the unrealistic, unhealthy, and often insulting representations of female appearance by constructing surreal, fantastical environments through still life photography. 

 In this Barbie-themed series, my aim is to transport the viewer back to a surreal reality inspired by the essence of their inner child. As we transition from carefree children to responsible adults, we often abandon the spirit of our youth — the curiosity, the desire to play, and the sense of wonder and innocence. It is a deliberate choice we must make as adults to reconnect with those feelings. 

 Through this series, I express my fascination with color, light, and shadow, exploring how they intertwine with the emotional landscape.
